This policy describes the information we process to deliver Voteplus10 and the website voteplus10.org to you. VotePlus10 is committed to protecting the privacy of our visitors and users.  VotePlus10 has created this privacy policy to explain how Voteplus10 (or “we”) use information that we collect from you while you visit the Voteplus10.org website, currently located at www.Voteplus10.org (the “Site”), or any other affiliated website owned by VotePlus10.  Voteplus10 may modify this policy from time to time, so we encourage you to check this page when revisiting the Site.  The date of the most recent revision is listed above.

What kind of information do we collect?

When you join and use Voteplus10, join our newsletter, or take any other action on this Site or in any email or communication, we may ask you to give us personal information including but not limited to your name, address, email address, telephone number, issues or interest, opinion on various issues, age, political party affiliation, and more. Most information we ask for is optional and is designed to help deliver more applicable content in line with you and your interests.  We may also obtain information about you from outside sources or partner sites and combine it with the information we collect through this Site. We use this information to operate this Site, to send you news and information about Voteplus10.org and issues concerning your state or district issues, voting, to measure the effectiveness of our programs, and to send you timely reminders via email and SMS/text message. You may opt-out of receiving email messages from Voteplus10.org by following the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.  We collect information about the people, pages, and groups you are connected to and how you interact with them across our Products, such as groups you are part of. We also collect information about users who have been invited by you and are part of your network. We collect information about how you use our Products, such as the types of content you view or engage with; the features you use; the actions you take; the people or groups you interact with; and the time, frequency and duration of your activities. For example, we log which actions you have completed on VotePlus10 and which actions you have skipped.  We also track how often you share various aspects of the VotePlus10 service.

How we use your information

By providing your email and mobile phone number on Voteplus10.org’s website, you agree to receive emails and text messages from Voteplus10.org to your various devices and the mobile phone number with which you enroll. You certify that your mobile number provided is true and accurate and that you are authorized to enroll the designated mobile number to receive such text messages. You acknowledge and agree that the text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system and that standard message and data rates apply. You may unsubscribe from text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any text message you receive from Voteplus10.org. For help, text “HELP” to any text message you receive from Voteplus10.org. You consent that following such a request to unsubscribe, you may receive one final text message from Voteplus10.org confirming your request.

Security

Voteplus10.org uses industry standard security measures to protect the information collected by this Site, but we cannot guarantee complete security.

Use of services by minors

Voteplus10.org is committed to protecting the privacy of children who visit this website and does not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifying information from children under 13 years of age. We will promptly remove any personal information from children under 13 upon notice to us. Children under the age of 13 should ask their parent or legal guardian for assistance when using Voteplus10.org and should not submit any personally identifying information to Voteplus10.org.

We work with third-party partners who help us provide and improve our Products or who use out tools to grow their organizations, groups or causes which makes it possible to operate our companies and provide free services to people around the world. We don’t sell any of your information to anyone, and we never will. We also impose strict restrictions on how our partners can use and disclose the data we provide. Advertisers

 

We provide advertisers with reports about the kinds of people seeing their actions or ads and how their actions or ads are performing, but we don’t share information that personally identifies you (information such as your name or email address that by itself can be used to contact you or identifies who you are) unless you give us permission. For example, we provide general demographic and interest information to advertisers (for example, that an action or ad was seen by a woman between the ages of 25 and 34 who lives in California) to help them better understand their audience. We also confirm which VotePlus10 actions or ads led you to take an action with an advertiser.

 

Cookies and data tracking

In order to better serve our supporters, we use cookies and periodically analyze web logs.  Some cookies are used to pre-populate forms for you so that on repeat visits to the Site you don’t need to re-enter certain information.  You can set your browser to disable cookies, but then you would not have the advantage of having certain sections of forms being pre-populated for you, and you may not be able to access certain parts of the Site.  We also may use third-party services such as Google Analytics. This helps us understand traffic patterns and know if there are problems with our Site. We also may use embedded images in emails to track open rates for our mailings, so that we can tell which mailings appeal most to Voteplus10.org supporters.

The information generated by a cookie about your use of our Site (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where Google is legally required, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google can combine your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using this Site, you consent to the processing of data by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

URLs contained in emails may contain an ID that enables us to correctly identify the person who takes an action using a web page. We use these URLs to track user impact and reach, simplify the process of signing up and filling out surveys. We may occasionally present a shortened URL that references a longer URL which you can see in the browser’s address bar when you access the page.

Links to other sites

Voteplus10.org partners with other organizations to provide you with valuable tools and resources.  Our partners are very committed to your privacy and have their own Privacy policies. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any external websites not owned and operated by VotePlus10. Third party sites will have their own policies which may be different from ours and we recommend that you check the privacy policy of each site that you visit and choose to use at your own discretion.

Disclosure of information

Voteplus10.org will challenge any attempt to gain access to the information you give us by government agencies or private organizations. In the unlikely event that we are required by law to disclose any of your information we will do our best to contact you first so that you may have the opportunity to object to the disclosure. We will also independently object to any requests for access to information about users of our Site that we believe to be improper.

How do the VotePlus10 organizations work together?

VotePlus10 and the VotePlus10.org website is a program owned and operated by Arizae LLC.  VotePlus10 and the VotePlus10.org website is a also resource used by the Arizae Foundation, a standalone 501(c)3 organization which is focused on encouraging more active involvement in democracy by members of the community who are underserved or may not currently be actively engaging in democracy.

How can I manage or delete information about me?

We provide you with the ability to manage your personal information on the account tab when logged into your VotePlus10 account.  We store personal data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services and VotePlus10 products, or until your account is deleted – whichever comes first.  When you delete your account, we delete all personal information and you won’t be able to recover that information later. To delete your account at any time, please email support@voteplus10.org
